What happens, in order

How this works

What happens to something unsaid after you leave it here.

Fill out the message form

The form asks four things of you. Everything after that happens without you.

Fill out who you want it addressed to

A first name, a first name and last initial, or what you call them: Mom, Grandma Becky. Never a full name or a handle. Enough for someone to recognize themselves. Not enough for anyone else to.

Write your unsaid message

The part you never said, in your own words. Nothing is tidied or shortened — it goes up as you wrote it, or not at all.

Sign it anonymous, or your name

Put your name to it or leave it off. It is posted the same either way; the only difference is whether a name sits under it.

Choose how it is filed

Sent

You wish they knew.

Archived

It was never meant for them. You just needed somewhere to put it.

Everything is read first

Every message is reviewed by a person before it appears. Some don't make it through. The terms set out what isn't accepted.

It goes on the site

Every message that's accepted is posted here with the date, the first name it was for, and your name if you left one.

A few are read aloud

Each week a handful are recorded as short videos and posted to our social accounts. An AI voice reads them, or the sender's own recording if they left one. The words are always the sender's own either way.

Nothing is delivered

We don't send messages on, look people up, or help anyone find anyone. If a message ever reaches the person it was for, it isn't through us.

The catalog keeps everything

Entries are numbered in the order they arrived and never renumbered. Nothing is deleted once it is catalogued.
